Out drive trim hose replacement

I have a 98 baja 272 with bravo 1. The black hose has a bubble forming. I removed the two bolts holding cover on,
the drive, but it’s not coming off. Looks like a wire attached. How do I remove that? Thanks

You talking about the trim manifold (item 33)?

If it has a wire attached to that 'cover', thats your mercathode. Try to gain enough slack inside the engine compartment by unhooking the 2 wires in order to let the wire come out with the trim hose manifold until you can get to the hose fittings. Those hoses can be a PITA to pull through the TA with the bend in the fittings.

Another question...so I got a little more slack, but not much. Trying to replace the black hose. Can’t see crap. Looking for a diagram to see which hose to remove. Suggestions or directions would highly appreciated.!

The black hose (item 1) is furthest from the boat transom, tie a string to it so you can pull the new back in
