My upper gears at 400 hours. Not as bad as the lowers but starting to show signs of pitting as well.

Stop coming at me with all this real world data and examples. This is an internet forum, we are just supposed to throw out opinions with nothing to back up the claims!!!!

Regarding the oil analysis...if you sent multiple samples, there is no way to confirm there is even distribution of iron in the oil. This will lead to variation in analysis. I wouldnt be so quick to blame the test house.

I am not sure if this this comment was in response to something I said, I will continue using the oil analysis lab. Their results supported what was found.

Great videos in terms of showing the inner workings of a drive for those that have never seen one blown apart and may not know, for instance, what a tower is. Thanks for posting.

Took the boat out with the new upper today everything went well, but man it sure shift positively into drive. Almost slams, I could just be over analyzing, kind of like looking at your steering wheel after an alignment

Pulled the plugs to check things out..... this is the upper plug, lower had some stuff on it but not this bad. FML.... Probably wont run it. Took the morning off to flush and run it on the hose. See if i get more metal from that. I might sink this thing.

Unfortunately rolling the dice produces more losers than winners, Sorry man, we've all been there at one time or another. Maybe time to throw the dice away?
