Trim pump line adapters confusion...
 

Have new trim pump for TRS and we have no adapters.

Need adapters for the trim pump to attach the lines running to the connector 47347 on lower Gimbal housing..

Shows part # 22-89029 for adapters for TRS. x 2

I look up the same for a 3-5 drive as they use the same internal line rams

That parts list shows 2 different part #'s 22-8818200 and # 27-77366 for adapters but uses the same connector on the Gimbal housing - part # 47347

Are all Mercury trim lines the same size in diameter? Why would there be different adapters at the pump? but go to the same sized connector part # 47347

Also lists the same trim lines from connector to rams- part # 86036 for 3-5 and TRS

So what would be going on that's different ???

oildyne vs prestolite pumps/hoses
 

TRS trim line manifold P/N 47347 is for Prestolite pumps & 3/16" fittings. P/N 85054A5 for Oildyne pumps 1/4" (Black & Gray) hoses inside, 3/16" inside. Standard Oildyne pumps off of Bravo installations (low pressure) will not work on internal line TRS & SSM II/III/IV/V drives (high pressure). I have the 85054A5 manifolds or adapters 1/4" male to 3/16" female inverted flare (pump end) or 1/4" female to 3/16" male inverted flare.

If you going to keep the 3/16" hoses from the T/A to the pump you will need (2) 1/4" Male to 3/16" female inverted flare fittings . You will need to remove the 1/4" male inverted flare to # 6 fitting now in the pump. If you're replacing the hoses with the black & gray 1/4" hoses you will need the other fittings I mentioned for the trim manifold or replace the manifold with the 85054A5.

I ordered a 85054A5 and the 1/4" lines to run from adapter to the pump part # 47399
