Default 1X vs 1XR Drive

I have a 25 foot Talon that had a 454 with a Bravo 1 Drive. I have upgraded the Engine to a 572 with 740hp/740torque and trying to decide on either the 1X or 1XR Drive. I am being told that the 1X was designed for the Diesel Platform and will handle more Torque that the 1XR. Also being told that there is a model B of this drive for a Gasoline Engine Setup but yet still handles the greater amount of Torque. Most local folks I mention this to states they would go XR, yet I am being recommended the 1X by a boat Builder/Racer from Florida that swears by the 1X over the 1XR... Any others out there have dealt with this choice before???

With this power you will break an X ,that can not handle this Power! And also an XR will not live long behind this engine!
If you go XR,buy an Driveguardian that helps to live better!
But both Drives are overpowered with this!

A Bravo X is not as strong as an XR. With 740hp/740tq neither one will last very long. You need an SCX or BMax to be reliable with that much power.
