SSMIII advice
I am looking for some help/advice regarding propping SSMIII drives
I currently run 16.5 x 29 four blade, and have located a pair of 17 x 30 five blades I have increased the HP over the winter so I need a little more pitch, but can the drives handle the increased diameter and extra blade? Thanks Jason |
I have increased the HP over the winter so I need a little more pitch, How much more horsepower,..?? |
I have not tested with the 29's with the fresh engines. Was not able to dyno in the previous configuration, (flattened a cam) guessing 120 each over original builds. Roller cam, bigger cfm Holley EFI, inter cooler, 620hp now
I found a set of four blade 16.5 x 31's at a good price. Probably July before its back together and in the water |
I have a 28 Pantera with III's, 555's dynoed at 643hp. My props were used 16x29s and boat would run 82. One motor turning 5000 rpm and other motor turning like 46-4700. I had the props done by b blades, so they are the same now. Only used boat once and no GPS on and didn't run it hard yet. These props are 6" hubs.
I also have a set of 4" hub 16x26 I think it's what they are and boat ran like 78 at around 5300. |

What ratio are your drives? Mine are 1.68 I believe. Based on counting rotations
|
