Bravo 1 Needle bearings
I'm working on a bravo 3 drive and want to replace the needle brearings in the top cap and under the forward gear. How do you get the races off the studs?

If you’re talking about the clutch shaft bearing inside the top cap, just use a slide hammer attached to a 2 jaw puller, the bearing in the bottom tower, just drive it down, it will fall out the bottom |

Thank you jaaytee. Any idea on the tool? Have not seen it before |

update....
I ended up making the two-piece tool above - it worked great. And, to get the tower needle bearings out, I bought an internal bearing puller - did not know anyone made such a thing but it worked perfect - pulled the old bearings out with out damaging them! Woodchop |
