is there anyone on the east coast that can be trusted to go thru xr's to check on their condition?between my experience with motor and marine people thought id see whos had luck with who.

Kinda hard to find on their website but the prices and options are there. Standard rebuilt Bravo one sells for $3995 with your old drive as the core deposit for 1k, so I think that also means 3k to fully rebuild your drive to new.

I found that George has recommendations, But wasn't out to just up sell me. And was very easy to work with.

Its $4995 for XR's for standard rebuilds PLUS $1000 core deposit.
That assumes the case and shafts are good in your core to get all of your $1000 back.

Core Policy
Core charge is subject to inspection of the core and it is deemed to be rebuildable. Cases, shafts, retainers and carriers must be good. Any parts necessary to make it rebuildable, will be deducted from or may exceed the core charge. Customer will be responsible for any amount that exceeds the core charge.

George will certainly go though your drives and let you know what is needed to get them back to stock if that is what you are asking. He may suggest some things that will make them stronger/better depending on your usage, but I guarantee he will not force you to buy any upgrades that you don't want or absolutely need. AADS is very honest and transparent, no scams, you absolutely get exactly what you agree upon and more. The employees are very skilled and friendly. Customer service is outstanding. Just my observations!

+3 for AADS. Had them do my drive, one year later hit a log and made a mess of the drive. He worked with the insurance company to get it covered 100%. Where else do you get a 24 month warranty on a drive with more than stock horsepower? He does have some really good ideas on basic drive improvements. He has thousands of broken parts and has really made some significant improvements.
