New lower

So I pulled my xr lower off for service a couple weeks ago, found out the vertical shaft bearing failed and wiped out my gears and the case won’t receive a new bearing. So since I needed a new case I decided to go with a Teague Platinum lower to mate up to my scx upper.

I have a 28’ Pantera single 598/800. The xr lower had a 1” spacer and with drive in neutral trim position iprop shaft was 4.5” below hull. also has a quad IVX 26 prop.

So my question is, with the imco lower, and me wanting to go a labbed 28 bravo which is bigger OD than the hydro, should I add the 1” spacer back in or take it out?

Anyone with a Pantera non step pleasure to give some advise? I’m running about 5600 WOT and thinking taking the spacer out might net me some rpm gain.

The beauty of the spacer is that you can try it back to back. As you raise the drive, you will experience different behavior and handling.
Lighter boats with inherent lift respond well to raised X dimensions with the correct prop. Heavier boats may require trade offs you don't want to deal with.
