Default Exhaust block off plate

Exhaust block off plate, anybody come up with a good temporary fix for a leaking plate, given it’s limited access without an engine pull...

Block it from your exhaust bellows side ? Do you have a bellows ? Does it connect to drive or open before drive ? I did this for a few Alphas. Just a pvc rubber cap on those. I have not had to look into it on a Bravo yet, so can’t help you with anything but an idea(s)

If you cant get a rubber cap on the exhaust tube inside the gimbal then the only other idea i cant think of without pulling the motor to fix it properly would be some expanding foam shot into the opening from the drive side....

saw where one guy used the foam and it didn't work. I did the same with 5200 and it leaked too.

I asked a few questions on my first post. Doh.

Do you have the following exhaust bellow tube from your trans assembly to almost back of drive ? If so, i know on the alpha the round part that attaches to transom assembly can have , i believe, 3” (or was it 2” lol) round pvc rubber cap in it’s place. This exhaust tube supposedly is gor all alpha’s and Bravo 1’s....so....???

okay, that’s good it’s gone. Saved you labor now of removing it. Go see if you can get a rubber cap on where the bellow mounts on out side transom assembly.

I believe so. It wasn’t 4”. A 2” fit on the Alpha drive inlet. I remember that lol. The boats are here, but wrapped for winter. We are driving our trucks and sleds on the lake right now, not boats. Lol
