TRS Gimbal Ring Shafts
I need to replace my Gimbal rings on my 76 Magnum TRS 280's. I've got the rings but not the shafts. Does anyone know if by chance they are the same as the Alpha shafts? I tried looking through superseded part numbers but no luck at all. I find kits that have both shafts, the lever, shims and bushings for what seems all drives but don't specifically say TRS drives. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry - not the same

It looks like we have 1 piece

Thanks Marc, I know it's old and obsolete but that's a bunch of money for the shaft. I know it's Merc pricing, not you, but I'll have to wait on that. But thank you for the reply.

I appreciate you understand that. Mercury is very proud of their stuff.
Given that we will probably sit on it for a while if it will work for you I will sell it for 1/2 price. I do need to make sure we really have it as I am just going by our inventory system. Do you have the square steering lever & gimbal ring? |

Marc, by chance would you know the shipping weight of a TRS drive? I have to arrange shipping for one.

Thank you Marc, if you do indeed have it, I'll take you up on that deal! I have a Square shaft Gimbal ring, but not the steering lever yet. I'm not using it for steering but believe It has to be in there for the nut to tighten against.
As far as weight 180 seems to stick in my mind - if shipping truck the price really won't change much |
That's too bad, but thank you for your offer and effort. You've always been a stand up guy.
I can make one if I had the dimensions, maybe Mercury has the blue prints? Ha Ha |
