rubber and metal behind prop
I have what looks like a rubber gasket and a metal piece behind the prop in the housing. Also looks like a small piece of a wooden shim that is further in. Any help on what it is and if I should remove it or something needs replaced? Its a bravo 1 outdrive.

pull the prop and see whats up, no wood in a bravo

Thanks for the reply. The props are off and it in the space around the prop shaft. I'm a new member, so as soon as it lets me, I'll post a pic.

so its being used a shim / spacer ?.......might be the wrong hub for the prop shaft ?
