Default Bravo power steering actuator leak - which route to repair?

Hello. I have a Bravo out drive, I think its a Bravo one but not sure how to tell. Serial is 0C823547. It is leaking power steering fluid from the actuator. I believe it is coming from this area where the red arrow is. This is the old style actuator with the screw-in style hose fittings. Any idea what is the best route to resolve this?

Would a simple seal repair kit, # 25-58226A1 fix it and if so, is this something that can be done without special tools? I can find some new old stock of this seal kit on ebay and I am mechanically inclined enough to remove the actuator and try to take it apart unless there are special tools involved.

Or, should I replace the whole actuator? This route seems to be very expensive, like $1400 expensive, or am I wrong? In looking up part numbers, it makes my head spin. I understand the old style is no longer available, and there is a new style that has quick connect fittings, which means I would also need new hoses. Would I also need new fittings over at the power steering pump. If this is the route I must go because the seal kit wont work for some reason, can anyone confirm the part numbers I need for the actuator, hoses, fittings, etc?

Thank you!

Well shoot, it wont let me post the photo because I dont have 10 posts yet. The leak is in the middle of the unit, where the cylinder assembly and valve assembly come together. Hope that makes sense.

External full hydraulic steering is AMAZING. if you're looking at $1500 anyway... you could have butter smooth dead strait tracking steering.
I installed IMCO on mine back in 2020, and love it, love it, love it. Did I mention I love it?

I had to repair mine last year as it was leaking at the power steering cooler...it was difficult to discern exactly where it was coming from until I got a fluorescent dye kit, then it was very obvious. Are you sure exactly where your leak is? it was a ***** of Biblical proportions to change that power steering cooler in the boat...I had to remove the engine hatch/sunpad first and then half-disassemble the back of the engine to get to it...grrrrrrr! it's proximity to the steering ram itself makes it hard sometimes to know exactly.
