Bravo hinge pin side to side play

Hi all, as im learning more about drives I've noticed left and right play in my hinge pin pivots. The pins themselves don't move just the drive does left and right maybe about .020. I can't upload a video or i would. Im wondering what is allowed if any? I guess there are 2 washer/spacers that go in there according to diagrams? Also my upper unit is contacting my transom plate at times as well on on the one side. Not sure how much of this is normal. Thanks

You have to upload video to youtube and link it.

You need a set of wear pads for sure. They clip on to where the bare metal is in your pic

I have to drill them on? I have a gen 1 bravo with no holes. What keeps the drive centered? Won't they just but off from hitting?

my guess would be that part number 4 is bad. it should be a fiber washer for wear. your is an early unit and I dont think it uses the plastic pads that Griff was showing.

kinda what i was thinking. I just wast sure on allowed slop. And yes I dont see anywhere for plastic pads to be. I saw this diagram with item #8 as well. Wasn't sure if that can cause it too.

8 should be a stainless washer. the one I listed is the fiber washer. when all new there is not much play. yours is way more that a new one.
