Hearing engine noise
 

What should a guy use to supress engine noise thru the stero system? Everything appears to be grounded properly.

Are any of the power lines to the unit...I.E. the memory power line or main power ling going through the dash power block?

If so that is where the noise comes from. Best to have to power lines for the radio directly to the battery.

Also if the RCA cables between the head unit and the amps are near any power cables that is a big problem.

Instead of chasing a gremlin, you can do a couple quick band aids......

Ground loop isolator on RCA's
5000 uF cap on power and ground leads

Agreed, gotta get your ground to the battery directly... Quick fix without chasing is What he said...

I have 6 Batts in my pyle pushing 3500w... would definitely drive me nuts if I had this....

A bad diode in an alternator can cause radiant noise also.
