Puck Transducer Removal

I have to replace the transducer in my 27 fountain. It is epoxied to the inside of hull in cuddy bilge in front of step in hull.
I want to put the new one in the same location.
What is the best way to remove the old one.

I would just get a utility knife and carefully cut around it, it should pop off, at least mine did when I cut mine off, then you've have to clean it up with some kind of putty knife where the old adhesive/caulk was, it wasn't hard.

Mine was a little harder to get out but nothing a ball peen hammer can't take care of. Not like u are going to use it again.

I have seen some installed by whomever with 3m 5200 you might have better luck using a debonding agent first, then maybe a crowbar or prybar / hammer smack if needed.

I still would recommend this even if the correct transducer epoxy was used for the install.

Here is what we used and worked out great - I think even someone mentions about a stuck transducer in the link.

Got a can coming. Now all it has to do is quit raining and warm up a little.
Hope this works, I really didn't want to chip it out and grind it down if I didn't have to. It is the factory installed puck and they used epoxy.
