Raymarine connect with stereo and engines
Hello gents,
I'd like to connect my raymarine E7D to my stereo and possibly my 525efi's. Has anyone done this and do you know what connections are needed? I am thinking a fusion marine radio but that can be changed if needed. I have read the manuals, and looked all over the web. I know it can be done but I can not find the exact items which I need to purchase to complete the project. Thanks in advance. |
The new Fusion models can be plugged into a Nmea2000 backbone. So if your Raymarine should work well with the Fusion radio. I believe you can view data from your raymarine on the fusion head unit and any wired remotes and I believe the fusion radio will display in the Ratmarine device. As far as the 525, you would need a mercury smartcraft gateway/harness (if your Raymarine is smartcraft ready).

Thanks a ton. I will do some research on Nmea2000 backbone and mercury smartcraft gateway/harness.

It actually is a nicer application and also if you have a Raymarine with built in WIFI you can get the FUSIONLINK app for your phone and control the stereo via an IPHONE or IPAD thru the Raymarine WIFI. The Raymarine will accept NMEA2000 devices depending on which model but you will also need a SeaTalk NG to NMEA 2000 device net adaptor cable as well as a backbone on board. If you have any other questions or need cabling I own a marine electronics company. Send me a pm and I will give you a call. Carry on |
