Garmin 740 issues
I have a 3 year old Garmin 740. It hasn't been turned on for the last year. But now that it is being used, When it is turned on it will boot-up correctly and sometimes it will lock up in M.O.B. I press "Back" and it just flashs back to MOB. Than sometimes it will start "Panning" all by itself. Normally I have to turn it off and back on to get it out of MOB or to stop it from panning. Than the other day it locked up in the celestial tide mode. Any thoughts?

You need a software update!

You were spot on with needing the update. It took three tries for the 740 to accept the SD/update. With the boat being in the shop its tough to tell if it will locate my position. But it seems that all of the keys are working properly. Thanks
