GPS suggestions

I am looking to buy a decent size GPS for my 292 SR1 Formula

I am curious to what people are running these days.

I just stopped into West Marine and they must have had fifteen different models available.

Technology has really changed in a couple of years !

Tooooo many choices, if you lived in Russia there would be two choices the working stiffs , GPS and the rich man's GPS
in this country we have way too many choices !

I don't need a fish finder because I don't fish.

I typically cruise at 35 knots or so !

I do need a descent size screen because I can't see S--T !

What are they now installing on new boats ?

Do they come with a built in depth finder ?

Thank You in advance for the replies .

I had a Garmin 740 in my Skater and just updated it to a Garmin 7610. It is amazing, HD clarity, touch screen WiFi capable, NMEA 2000 interface with Fusion radios which allows you to have a 10" I-Pod touch. MY 740 was also good. Yes they have GPS speed, add a transducer and you have depth . Add a sonar transducer and sonar. Add radar antenna and you have radar. If you have Mercury Vessel View, you can have boat functions on the Garmin.
