Nmea 2000 - Do I need a Starter Kit?

I have installed the Raymarine es97 and although I haven't gotten all of the add on parts delivered yet I wanted to know if I need a starter kit for the nmea2k..

I have the T79 transducer, will be adding the Merc gateway with JBox for 2 motors, and the Rockford Fosgate PMX will also be tied into the Nmea2000 network..

Just trying to figure out if need a starter kit..

Thanks

I found the starter kit useful for my install, as it has a variety of parts in it that may or may not come with the electronics themselves. You can probably get it the cheapest on ebay. I went to West Marine and paid a premium, but I was in a bind at the time.

Which PMX unit are you tying in to the NMEA2K network?
