Default Mercury Mercruiser ECM555 / PCM555 flashing / calibrating

Is somebody aware of the flasing and calibration tuning process of Mercury's ECM/PCM555?
From searching the web, I found that the ecm's used by Mercruiser are produced by New Eagle. In their product range they offer the ECM-555-48 (ECM48) which is called ECM555 and the ECM-555-80 (PCM80) which is called PCM555. The pinouts of both units are excactly the same as described in the mercruiser service manuals.

For tuning the MEFI 1-4 I recently bought the MEFI Scan&Tune software which isn't able to work with the newer ecm's. Is there any software (maybe based on reverse engineering...) available to flash the ECM/PCM555 units? Maybe someone also made a definition file for EFILive, TunerPro, TunerCat, ..?

New Eagle provides the MotoTune tools for calibrating and flashing, but they aren't really affordable for a normal user. https://www.embeduk.com/product/moto...-dual-channel/

For who's interested, they provide some other cool stuff for the ecm's: https://neweagle.net/support/wiki/in...oHawk-Platform

I believe Dustin at Whipple can tun those ECM's. A lot of people are in the same situation as you and decide to switch to a MEFI controller. Do a search on here for 555 and more results will show up to answer your questions.

Well, could still be great info even if too expensive for for a single person,,,,but maybe some tuning shops might be interested with hearing this new info since as said above, their is only one shop (Whipple) outside of Merc themselves that can flash these.

I can't confirm for sure, but have heard Mark Boo's of Performance Marine can tune the 555 also. I really am impressed with my 496HO Whipple Stage 2 tune. Well worth the $$ IMO. Whipple can perform a spot on custom tune for your setups. They just need the correct info.. RPM, MAP and A/F ratio from idle to WOT.

Boostpower say they can calibrate the ecm555 too https://boostpower.com/

Go to EFI systems and services to find info on all systems they service.
