Default Smartcraft Transom Assembily with older Bravo

I've heard it's possible, and that it will bolt up and "almost" everythign should work. The one thing I know if different is the trim sensors. I DO NOT need or care for a trim guage on my dash. But I DO want the trim to function properly, hopfully even have trailer function. The Controls I have are off of a 1994 boat, single lever with trim buttons and trailer button on the stick.

Does anyone know if Merc, or anyone, makes a conversion kit to run the old trim sensors on the Smartcraft assebily? Any way that it can be done? Any oterh issues that I may have trying to run this transom asssembily with a 1990 bravo one?

thanks

The Digital Transom are the same like the Magnum, only the sender are diffrent. All Bravos (Bravo One, Two, Three, Black Hawk) fits on Bravo Transom ore Bravo Digitl ore Integrated ITS.

You need a digital to analog converter like this 8M0059529. But this is for outboard, but the sender are most the same, so it can work with connect the wire´s directly. ?????

Thanks Mike, that looks like almost what I need. That looks to me like it plugs in betweent the trim sensors and the guages, tp make analog guags work withthe digital signal from the digital sensors. What I'm concerned with is not the guages, I don't plan on runing any guages at all. I'm concerned with getting the drive to trim up and down. The wire schematic I have for the 1990 bravo shows two wires coming from the sensors, it goes to the trim up\down buttons\ solinoid on the trim pump.

(h) in the diacram are the trim limit switch on the port side on the drive. This switch are for trailer trim. Connect the 2 wires and you can trim full up to down with your throttle switch without to use the trailer trim switch.

Have not looked but I'm thinking the converter listed above is for an outboard. Reason it caught my attention is I have the digital transom assembly installed and do not have smartcraft gauges. I used a different digital to analog converter, which allows full operation but the gauge still does not work. Have not figured out how to get the gauge working, but I also don't use it so no big deal.

The old part 845060A1 is the old kit which is no longer sold. The new part is 884359T1 which is the same as the old part but does not have the screws and spacers.

Have mine mounted on the transom behind the motor. Could go out when it stops raining and take a pic but there is a image of it in the link below

All you need is the standard analog sender kit. It includes both the trim position (for gauge) and the trim limit switch.

For your use all you need is the trim limit but it is not sold separately.

I will say it is a pita to install
