K-plane 110s linear resistance sensors range and repair

The linear resistance sensors / potentiometers for my k-planes have damages wires and neither work - I have to do the math from watching the nose when running the boat.

I guess the sensors just need rewiring but I was wondering what the resistance range needs to be and the gauge of the wire - it seems very thin indeed!

Anyone out there ever repaired a trim tab gauge?
