Want to replace with same (cap & rotor) Flagship Marine rigged boat in '96 sat & stored away until 2016 when purchased.
I've used this boat since and never changed cap, rotors or wires.....never a Hiccup....BBC 575 cu. in. tall deck AS&M EFI's

that dist still looks almost new they are easy to rebuild if theres any issues, this must be fuel injected as its using the 4 wire plug?

the best cap and rotor is accell tan colored the red and blue chinesseum ones burn out quick

both engines rigged in '96 ......both engines have less than 50 hrs. apiece, she's a barn find in 2016...covered & stored away for 20 yrs.....it is AS&M fuel injected.
When you say, "easy to rebuild" you mean?

to change the pick up coil just tap out the pin in dist gear lift out the shaft and a single clip holds the pick up coil they are about 30 bucks new and the source of most issues

At the parts store, just tell them an 88 Chevy pickup with a 350

Yeah, don't do what I did, and pay a certain former member here to send me 2 new "marine" distributors for 4 times the price... this unit is the same thing in a less expensive box. At least I didn't fall for his Moroso wires schtick.

Ive always ran AC Delco....why is that one better ^^^

Delco is good. I use them in vehicles a bunch. Okay, prob several hundred times. :) And handful times in boats. It’s Just it’s aluminum posts corrode faster inside the cap than the brass ones in the Accell. So, it depends on people’s maintenance schedule.

SB.......Thanks for the item listing!......I've found all the Accel cap & rotor kit #8132 are in the general range of $35 to $45 .......I found this on Ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/38476899092...Zlhl1SQ.....is it much cheaper for a reason? it says Accel, but half the price?

Around here(upstate ny) advanced auto has them right behind the counter there is a black accell cap too but it has alum contacts that do not work well on a boat

SB...I called Summit racing to match price one I saw on Ebay for $22.99 (definitely Accel knock off) but they matched priced it & for less at $22.49 plus the free shipping.....
