Porta Bracket on Vessel View 903
 

Last issue to be solved. Thanks to the tech support folks at Porta Products the sensor and module are now sending the correct signal to the Vessel view 903. The issue is that the 903 is already displaying engine trim and trim tab info and doesn’t now have the capability to display another parameter.
My rigger is in contact with an electronics guru at Mercury Racing to see it there’s a way to add the engine height. Hopefully we will hear back in the next couple of days.
Other than that the boat is ready.
Anybody been down this road?

I read somewhere that jack plate height has been recently added to the NMEA 2000 specification.

You may be in luck if there is a software upgrade to the Vessel View.

My rigger did find a way to display the engine height. He was able to rename “rudder angle” as rudder height. It reads the sensor supplied by Porta bracket.
