It sounds like you are getting very close...the motor is new with few hours or is it broke in? If new, it will loosen up and get a little better...if already broke in...you may want to contact Brett at BBlades Propeller service (advertiser on OSO) or your prop-shop of choice to see if they can help. Typically labbing can give you some additional RPM and/or MPH :)

I put a labbed 28 bravo labbed on a friends 03 25 daytona/500efi/ 1.50:1 and it picked up nearly 200 rpm and 3 mph.

I Work For A Dealer That Carries Eliminator, We Have Had Several 25 And 27 Daytonas. The Best Set Up We Have Found Was On Our Last 27; 525efi, I.t.s., Imco Shorty Lower 28p Lab Finished Bravo One. The Boat Was A Solid 86 On Gps, Touching The Rev Limiter, Should Have Tried A 30p Labbed Prop, But We Sold The Boat. Hope This Helps.

thinking of pulling the 525 since I cannot get a whipple charger and putting in a 500 efi whith a supercharger. Any input would be great.

find a Black Hawk drive, a pair of 31's labbed and pick up 5 to 8 mph cheap!
