At least 4mph from going up 1/2" is pretty impressive. :drink:

I need a little chop and then see what she'll do? I picked up about 200 rpm from 4800 to 5000... I think with all conditions right, I can probably hit rev limit for a few more mph. I'm concerned about the dam hole shot though, it's a little slippery and takes some throttle work??? bigger cavitation plates maybe?

Re: 28 TD Daytona x dimension question?

I would definately play with the cavitation plates. It doesn't take much from what I've been told....but have never had to try. I know now is not the time to do it, but boxes will totally solve your planing problems. Does it blow as the boat is trying to roll over. Mine blew pretty good as it rolled over before putting on boxes with 30 bravos when I had lots of people and/or full fuel. Drives were ~even with bottom then.

My X-dimension on my 28' is 1" above the bottom of the boat. Doesn't really matter what props I'm running I still need to use the tab to get up on plane but I did get it up to 109 m.p.h. with 4 people and full tanks of gas.

Very impressive grads! Do you have extension boxes?

What power, props and rpm's are you running? And do you have boxes?

Re: 28 TD Daytona x dimension question?

I am running 525's with 2" sportmaster shorties, 32p 5 blade props with no boxes, and a center trim tab. The trim tab is key because without it I seriously doubt I could get on plane. I was running 109 m.p.h. at a little over 5000 r.p.m.'s...very little prop slip.
