Are you running the Stainless hub piece to the brass one pictured or the poly hub piece?? The stainless is the one to use.. Other than that hard hole shot or fast unload/loading of the props should be avoided.. lastly If it is the Stainless hub insert that you have with the brass spline piece check the poly strips that dampen the stainless inner, they too may be worn & need replacment.. :) Jamie / Lakeside

With this boat - I don't have to worry about the hard hole shots - there's no such thing - since I have 4 blade 32 props, they blow out if you jump on the hole shot. I have to ease on to plane - 2300 RPM's 'ish......so it's definitely the load and unload - there were 3-4 days where i was running in 3 foot chop and was definitely spending time out of the water and not backing off as much as I should.....so, lesson learned.

Unfortunately, my boat is in storage now - taking a long winters nap - but I will be sure to check the polystrips this spring - thanks for the heads up.

I get mid to high 90's in any conditions, and have hit 100MPH in perfect conditions (with just me in the boat and less than 1/4 tank of gas). I am in the process of trying to determine my prop options to see if I can squeeze more out of it...since the 32 4 blade props I have easily bump the rev limiter - I believe the right 34's will give me an even better top end....but they'll have to be worked because, I have been unable to get labbed 34's on plane.

I really love the boat. I had no idea it was going to be this much fun - and Eliminator's fit and finished was unbelievable - I have yet to have anything that needs to be tweaked. I've had 3 other boats - each of which I had to have a list of things for the dealer to take care of after delivery. I took delivery of this boat in mid sept, and put 35 hours on it in a 4 week period and didn't have one issue that the dealer needed to take care of - other than have them put in Sea Strainers (I ordered it without strainers, not knowing that these boats have thru hull water pickups as opposed to through the drives - so I ordered them and had them put them in during my 20 hr checkup).

The only other mistake I made was not asking for drives that can handle more hp. I have the 496 HO's in them and it came with the Bravo x 1:36 drives - which are only rated for 450HP - so should I choose to beef up my motors (ie. headers, or Raylar kit, or whipple charge) - I'd have to replace my drives. So, for now I am earning my stripes on a rock solid boat that does 100mph and handles like a dream - I've learned speed is like a drug, and I already want more - I suspect I'll keep this boat through next season, then order another one (probably the same size too) with bigger power in it - As right now -I'd like to have the ability to run 125mph under the right conditions.

I've gotr a used 30 with same power- what rpms's are you seeing with that swetup?? x dimension is?

Unfortunately, I am unsure of my xDim - I didn't ask for anything special - and haven't done anything to the xDim since it was shipped from Eliminator in Sept - at the URL I posted above, there are some pix of my drives - that might give you some insight to what it might be - but I don't have any standoff boxes or anything either (as you'll see in the pix).

Boat seems to run fastest when I'm trimmed at about 4 on the mechanical trim indicators - if I trim above the 4 range, I begin to hit the rev limiter - I've heard the alarms a few times, and would trim back down and get the RPM's back down to 5k-5.1k.

What speeds are you seeing and how are your Propped?

I've only got about 6 hrs on the boat since buying- but ran a 25 daytona for 3 yrs, then my Pantera for 3 and now cat again.

I'm in the process of installing heads up mech indicators- will be complete as soon as I get another cable. 12" boxes, bravo 30's, 1.5 ratio- best yet of 87 gps. x is about 3/4" up from hull. I need to check toe on the drives, I have a 1" shorty now and am shopping for antoher. (Elim says 2" shorty may be pushing it without a tab to get on plane)

I have neutral trim marked- plan to determine how many degrees of trim each notch is- it's the only way to directly compare apples

I ran a pair of 30" maximus yesterday with the five ventilation holes open- planed way nicer- dropped 300 rpm in cruise and ran 85- a 32" maximus may be about right for optimum but the 30" should be best all around- I can borrow some from a bud with a 28 Daytona- 5 blades are definately the ticket. Had a 64 mph cruise at 3800. By spring the shorties will be on and I'll do more- interior is coming out to change a few colors- PCM's going to merc casue they are too rich (verified my pcm s/n was made in that era)

For me, the decent cruise speed rpm is the goal- the anal techie in me will chase the rest with setup so there is nothing on the table

Yes a new Eliminator owner.A 06 27 with a learner supercharged 600 hp in it.The reason i asked about performance is i feel i maybe moving up to a twin engined Eliminator after this one.Have a 850 hp being built at the moment.I too made a couple of ordering mistakes.Thanks for the pictures.

I'm loving the 28 - perfect size for Lake Ontario (roughly 120 miles long by 50 miles wide) - so there is most often a 2-3 foot chop which it handles well. Obviously larger would be even better, but this would require more $$$ - to be able to do 100mph on most days - is a good place for me as a newbie.

What kind of speeds are you seeing in your 27?

Best so far is 85.Still setting it up.Only has 10 hours on it.With the big engine i should see hopefully 120.Looked at those pictures of yours again.Beautiful looking machine.
