Daytona 27 Questions-lots

Would Eliminator use the same x dimension in all the 27's?I have a 06 27 Daytona bowrider.I can't get it to go well not compared to other 27's.I feel it should be doing more,a whole lot more and i'm at a loss as to why.Given that they seem to run 87 with a 525.Here's the set up crate 502,Weiand 256,Superchiller,CMI split top big tubes with dry tails,Boost referenced single Dominator from a 900SC redone by Chuck Nuytten, crane multicurve hi6m ignition.Runs great 16hours.Bravo 1 drive 1:50, 26 pitch bravo prop. The setup runs great but the top speed is not there.Tried a 27 Hydromotive and couldn't get out of the water. The real motor is currently being built 540/871 combo.Could i be loosing because of the standard bravo lower?I have a 2" shorty lower and am looking for a tough top for the bigger motor. With the current setup what speed should i have?

It does seem that a motor with that kind of H.P. and 1.50 gears should be turning a bigger prop than a 26p.

Bow riders carry more weight in the front and always seem to be a bit slower. We cannot run hydromotive props they do not usually come with the blow out ring on them, you can get them from hydromotive and have them welded on but it kind of defeats the purpose.
In order to estimate a speed we need Hp from new motor. How many rpms you are going to run ?

my guess motor around 700hp?

What are speeds now? I figure you are around 80 top speed

It runs about 75 now.5200rpm.Boost is 5 pound.I don't know HP but i thought around 600.Tell me if this makes sense. If i start out at 3/4 throttle,it gets out of the water, revs and speed rapidly increase until the above rpms and speed are reached still with no throttle movement. When given more throttle,no change. All adjustments are correct.I have a 30 Bravo bolted up now, maybe thats it,just need a bigger prop.

First off you current setup has about an 11% slip which isnt great for a cat hull but not horrible. You can probably do better with a different prop. When you say you have more throttle left does the rpm go up when you give it more throttle?
Also I wouldnt recommend changing your X demension that much until you have someone measure it out for you. We are 1 inch shorter than stock and ours is high compared to most throwing a rooster without much positive trim. Most can go 1 inch shorter.

Australia whats up, its been awhile. This is an odd issue, My 525 quits at about 5250 or so. does it have more rpm once at top speed? Lets see pics of what we are working on. Oh and what 27 is B Boater driving????

Jeremy post another pic of that speedo of yours...No theres no more rpm once at top speed. What size props, ratios and shorties are you guys running?I may need more prop.I'll try to get some pictures on here soon. Will a 2" shorty work or will it be to high.Eliminator would build all 27's with the same x dimension, would'nt they?

You Need To Know Hp A Sportmaster Shortie Is A Must For Mph 1.50 Gears Are The Best Selection A 30 Lab 4 Blade Merc Should Do It Unless Hp Is Higher Than It Sounds Bow Rider Will Scrub 4 To 5 Mph Off Boat. Marty

This pic? I cant imagine them using a different x factor. Hey i put my boat on EBAY. So do we three have the only 27 Icc's on the board? And Marty is the man so he knows whats up.
