Yes we fit the good deal demographic.
40 year old , great credit and driving record as well as previous cat... The kicker was the engines as even 525 power made a HUGE difffrence in cost ! You said something about an advantage to being in AZ? What is that? Who are you insured with? It's funny that for boat insurance 35 is like 25 is to car insurance. At 27 I guess I'm still too immature to be insured on a nice cat, but not too immmature to afford it? |
so what should i expect to pay for a 1000 hp blown 27' kat for insurance a year? what figure do u think i would be looking at?

That's hard to say, but with no cat experience, and a boat going over 100, you might not even be able to GET insurance. Hopefully they'll consider your other fast boat experience. How old are you, if you are older that might help. I think Markel will be your only choice, and my guess (totally amatuer and based on reading on here) is that you'd be paying over 5 g's, depending on boat value, coverage, and layup, etc. Let us know what you find. Oh, and I too would not insure in your sisters name if she's not going to be driving most of the time. |
Look in back of hotboat there is a new company out they were a couple grand less than Markel Class A- company. They also asked for previous boat background. 30 years in hp boating here. They want a portfoilo, speeds, types,ect..1000 hp 6000 a year
