proud new eliminator owner!!!!

I am the proud new owner of a new to me eliminator. Its a 25' daytona with a 632" bbc with an imco extreme drive. I love this boat! most of our boating is on a lake and this thing eats up the lake chop.

I thought you were looking for an HO for insurance purposes, must've found a deal you couldn't pass up?:evilb:

Did you have cat experience, if not mind sharing what you're paying in insurance, as I'm looking for an HO boat next spring with no cat experience.:party-smiley-004:

That is a really good looking 25, and I've never seen that gel before and really like it, congrats.:drink:

insurance is about 1000.00 a year but i am 36 years old and married so that seemed to help. call Elton porter ins.The insurance wasnt as big of a deal as the financing. I had problems finding afinancing for a boat with non merc power but lake cumberland marine got it done.

Sounds like both of your insurance rates are pretty good, gives me some hope of not paying $2500 a year for an HO like I keep hearing (27, single, no cat experience) :drink:

I wonder if having the 25 over the 26 makes a difference?

Alot has to do with the overall length to horsepower ratio. so in many cases a 26 would be cheaper than a 25. Another major factor is overall cost of the boat they are insuring.

That's what I would assume, but I know some companies have some cutoff at 26 where it's a new category or something like that.

All I know is one person I've spoke with who does high performance boats wouldn't even quote me for a 26 with an HO, and I've been waiting for over 2 weeks to get a quote from my current insurance guy.

Looks like I need to call Elton Porter for sure, but I've just been taking my time looking as it's too far in this "summer" here in MI to buy now anyways.
