Eliminators Take over Loto
Great times this weekend for the Shootout. I think at last count we saw 35 eliminators total. various length Vbottoms, lots of 25's a handful of 27's, 3 different 33's and 4 different 36's.
BBoater it was nice meeting you and the crew. That 33 looks better in person than in the pics. Its came along way since I saw it out in California outta the molds. :ernaehrung004: We also got to see a very nice mid 90's V-bottom as well. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...8/DSC00030.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...8/DSC00031.jpg |

Doh My bad. It looked so smooth making the run it looked like a 36 running down the lake.:drink:
I would expect a 33 with that kind of heat to be running in the 160's plus.....crazy!! |
They only get a mile to make the pass. The water gets a lil hairy as well, so they dont always get to show their best top speeds at the shootout.

At 154 mph I would imagine it's pretty tough to tell the difference.

Had alot of fun that weekend still recovering! Congrats to Greg it was alot of fun with you Preston and all the crew! Your boat is crazy fast. Funny thing is everyone said the gun was exactly 10 mph off his gps read 164 along with others. Hopefuly next year it will be organized a little better. But they still did a great job.We will be there next time better prepared.
|
I think Preston's brother might have a video of us running like to see it when he gets it up. hint hint....

Adrenaline junkie you can really WET your self now lol:ernaehrung004:
I have to remember to wear my plastic pants when I read this thread. That's some serious heat. Fastest I've been in mine is 124mph gps - I can only imagine what 160mph feels like.....crazy! |
So if the radar is not matching the GPS has anyone suggested that they figure out a new way of acquiring the top speeds?

Whats crazy is this is pretty much his frist time out running it hard so not alot of tweakin was been done yet PLUS he blew a intake gasket just think what he could have done if he didn't have any problems :drink: You prolby would need a few pairs of plastic pants  |

Cool...I'm planing my trip for next year
|
I have a ran alot of radar events. For each degree you are shooting at a moving target you must add speed due to geometry. Thats why speeds picked up on the second day they move from there original spot. Not accurate once it has been moved.Plus for the sactioned events hard to break records with the gun off 10 mph. my.02 They will do better nrxt year.
