Ive since sold it and moved on the 30 I have now. |
my 25 had a 555 blown 950+hp with b1 drive 1:50. high x and 31p5x prop. at 6800rpms i was at 118mph gps. hope this helps.
has anyone seen a red with grey scallop 25 daytona? i miss that boat. |

i used to own a 26 with a 800 hp bbc ,1.5 gears, xr upper imco lower, 34 b1 110 mph, never had a problem with outdrive, everyone said i would, its all about easin it on plane .

Easing on plane AND minimize high speed prop surfacing. I have always eased on plane, but run in the rough lake Ontario snot - very difficult to get off the throttles quick enough in the snot when one side wiggles out of the water - much easier if we were running in predictable swells or flat water. Unfortunately, I burned through 3 XR style drives this summer -but they were IMCO - they were replaced with Teagues late in the year - that combined with me taking it a bit easier on rougher days - and my drive oil changes have been clean and green since. |
