Mounting Monster Tab

I am about to mount a 48" Monster Tab to my 1999 33' Daytona and was wondering if anyone has one and what height it is at? I have the drill fixture but there is no exact height location on it? Spoke to several peple on this and have gotton different answers from level with bottom of hull to 2" up from bottom of hull? Hoping someone has one mounted that could help.

McMillians in Rochester might be able to help, else call the shop in CA and ask for Tony Chiramonte...(951)493-4422. What size tab and what power will help...

Tab is a MT-4800 from Dana Marine. Current power is a pair of 900 HP 540's.

When I did mine, Elim told me to mount it 1/4" up from the bottom and it works great like that. Maybe call and ask....

Is there a reference on the mounting fixture that relates to the bottom of the tab?

I am going to call Dana and Eliminator as well, but just trying to get as much information as possible.

We used the forward most bottom lip as the reference point. I would talk to Tony or someone knowledgeable at Elim for your setup though as i am using the 18" tab (MT-1800) which is much smaller than the 4800 than you are installing.

Use the bottom of the fixture as reference and 1/4" up BIG Daddy ... Dont be Skeered and start the drillin :ernaehrung004
If you have second thoughts put the tab and back plate together and match up the holes and at 1/4" she'll be a fuzz above the tunnel ...

Already did that, mounted it to plywood to verify reference. Did not want to patch holes twice!
