Yea it would def be on borrowed time. There are a few 26 daytonas with #6's though.

There are a few number 6 25 daytonas out there. A 1550 would certainly be DEATH and I sure as hell wouldn't want to be the test pilot.

1300 ran 144 and change and Bob Teague said he wouldn't want to do it again

PS, CLA, I said "over 110"

SCX seems good to up to around a grand as Chris and Kap would attest.

The Arneson is definitely cool and would handle that power.

Ive seen a few cats that size with v drives that will handle anything.

Thumbs up

We have a 25 that runs a TCM800 carb, and Bravo xr reworked and geared by savage marine w/ full imco steering and have never had a problem... boat runs 95 to 100 based on conditions and prop....

The 25 does seem a little lite at speeds over 80, and we are interested in a 27 to 30, for a more stable ride in rougher conditions......

Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me? The hull just starts working nicely at 80mph. It runs dead nuts stable at 100. At least, thats what over 400 hrs of seat time driving mine in all kinds of different conditions tells me.

Yep. my 25' Talon dosen't really start to fly until 80. 80 to 100 is where the fun starts. 115 mph is as fast as "I" personally care to go in this hull. You got some big ones to run 120+!

The 25s a beautiful boat,,, and mayb you feel comfortable at higher speeds ,, but I don't... its personal opinion... I have 335hrs driving the boat,,, and in my OPINION, I have to be very alert at higher speeds in a 25..... I've been in a 30 at 100+ and you feel like your going 65.... HUGE difference in handling bwtn a 25 and 30.. Im done with this....bye
