What size turbo are you running? |
@fountainfan42....I dont really get why more guys havnt gone turbo, the technology has advanced soo much, the biggest problem is getting water cooled components...im hoping to push my package some more once Im convinced its 100% practical for any to drive...I would recommend going turbo as long as you have some one reputable getting you sorted out...and yes I did have problems, but it was mainly fuel supply issues, when i thought I had enough, I wasnt even close...if you need any help or pointers let mee know...
@bdubs....it most definitely takes big injectors, mainly cause of the E85 and since the engine likes RPM...fuel demands at high rpm's are very drastic...but the thing cruising at low boost moderate speed (60mph)is amzing on fuel consumption!!! THe turbo is still in the trial and error stages, im actually in the process of trying a smaller A/R turbine housing to see if I get the respone up some cause I Have a good friend who has a brand new 15 1/4 36 Hering 5 blade that im gonna try on my next run....not sure if I honestly have the torque to move that monster... |
Just curious, do you run a pyrometer

there has always been bar talk about TURBO LAG :eek:so guys stuck with the blower combinations and i think that has kept guys from taking the leap but now since Merc@ry did the 1350s religion has been found :drink: just watched the Out of control Vid and theres no Lag at all |
@GPM.....yes a do run a single pyrometer in the exhaust (down) pipe and a Innovate wideband AFR Gauge...
@fountainfan42....you know turbo lag is a pain, but theres way to help it, dont think you can have have that super low rpm throttle response that a blower gives ya...but once you get up in the RPM's, the turbo's are all free exhaust power and nothing holds them back. Unless your just outta wack on turbo sizing!! Thanks, Brendan |
What kind of EGTs are you seeing
