OK, I'm new here and I have a couple of questions......

I know they're out there, so here's the chance tell a story on what you have, what it took to get there (power) and is it as far as you think you will take it, performance-wise?

Well Gunner, there were a whole mess of greenbacks involved.
We have a 2001 25' Eliminator Daytona single step, runs 127,
540 blown, that produces 1100 hp on pump gas, installed NOS system over winter. Hoping to reach in the 130+ range. Running a 34 pitch 4-blade prop, and a XZ drive. Performance wise, probably always increasing.

Noticed that before you went out west you were posting that you were running 127, see that it still runs the same. While out west didn't the difference in sea level have any effect on your speeds? looks like being down to almost sea-level that you would have run a tad faster!! See I still pay attention to what you say..
How are you coming with your drive? Are we going to see B-Max this time or have you got something new from Merc?? I know," it 's a secret." Anyway, the best to you!

Was just thinking about you and your water rocket, Ever think about flying??
Considering all the rpm's that you turn, wouldn't changing your gear ratio or going to a lab 36 put you over the 130? Knowing you, you would do both!! SAM, Spend some of those Greenbacks!!:D :) :) :D

Glad to hear that your deck is looking fine.what happen to the plans on getting a 30' with stock engines? I know, It never appealed to me either!!

1 GUNNER, Im in upstate NY(Hudson River) with a 25' Daytona twin step(99). This year we installed a Keith Eickert 540/871 setup and an IMCO 2 " shorty. Running 5-6lbs boost at 5500(approx) we've seen 111 twice on GPS III plus. Yesterday we had 5600 but no GPS....felt fast as hell and there was a crosswind that was blowing us off course big time. There is nothing in the water with a 2" Shorty at them speeds and runs like this are more than a thrill :)

SAM are you running a shorty? And how does your hull handle in the 120s? Im running 110-111 right now with a 2" shorty and it is a little loose(laterally) if there is any sidewind. What blower do you use? Thanks

twin step shorty
 

Bo- I've got a slower twin step, less power, best of 99.0 in the spring, 88 yesterday with heat, humidity and weight.

Anyway- I'm real pleased with my 2" shorty and 1/2" spacer. I had actually considered taking the spacer out as I've had my prop worked a little and seems to plane better. Corners well, don't notice cross wind issues but we seldom have signinficant winds anyway.
