Ski/tube behind a 28-30' Eagle?
We are throwing around the idea of upgrading the 25' eagle to a 28 or 30 with twins. Looking to have a better ride mostly in the washing machine weekend water and on windier days where we currently get a little beat up with the 25'.
Currently I can ski and tube behind my boat relatively easily, half throttle get's me out of the water. I can also stay on plane about 2,400 rpm's and 22-24 mph; no tabs. Anyone have any experience going to the bigger hull and the ability to still do these things? How much of a pain in the butt is it? Seems to me anytime you go bigger, there is always an increase in the pita factor. Our next boat we want a dedicated head, don't know if the 28 would have that. Just trying to do some research, thanks for any information guys. |
Lol, not having a porta potty is the one thing my hates about our boat and would be a large reason why she would be OK with buying a bigger boat in a couple of years!

Twins knock a much bigger hole in the water so to speak. You can tube and ski behind it, but maintaining a lower speed may be difficult. You will also have a larger roller coming out the back.

How would one of these 30 eagles handel pulling someone out of the hole with a single. Eliminator's website shows a 30 with a single whippled 525 and i'm curious what something like that would do. I may be interested in upgrading to something like that in the future, or going with twin stock 500's for 525's.
