Need info on 89 28..... Ride quality, power = speed
Anyone familiar with 1989 28ft. Eliminator cat....... I'm picking one up and just curios on ride quality, power and speed combo's, etc..... It currently has 454 365hp and Bravo's, thinking of putting my blower motors from my Baja in it. Owner told me it runs 62 any condition and best he's ever seen is 68. I thought it would be faster, I'm thinking of putting my 525sc clones in that pushed my 88 Baja 280 sport to 81 on GPS at 4950.
Any and all info and input will be greatly appreciated.

I own a 89 27' eliminator daytona cat. I have 509ci blower motor 750hp. Unfortunately currently it has a stock bravo 1 outdrive. 1.5 ratio with 28p prop 16% prop slip I ran 71mph. Boat is very under propped. Engine was running lean so I was taking it very easy. Especially since the fact I have an outdrive I can grenade pretty easily. If you type in 89 Daytona eliminator in Google there's YouTube videos of a guy running 110mph twin outboard. Hull does good in small to medium chop and hits boat wakes very stable. Overall good handling. Hope this helps...

I had the 88 with 3x 300HP Johnson V8's that was on the Eliminator brochure. It ran 114 and rode great. It would just stand up on its tail when you were coming out of the hole till it rolled over on plane
