30' Eagle XP
 

Does anyone have any experience with the 30' Eagle XP? I was looking at one with a single 500 efi. Is this actually enough power to run in the low 70's like their ad claims? Lastly does anyone know where one of these boats are located near the East coast and would you reccomend any particular dealer? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:D

I have a 300 Eagle with 500HP EFI. It is Whippled. At Lake Powell, elevation 3700 feet, with out Whipple, it would only run in the 60s. After the Whipple install it will now run in the 80s(low). At Havasu it will run in the high 80s. It is extremely stable, dry and offers a very good ride. It has been hard on drives, six to be specific, but now I have a Teague Platinum XR unit on it and it has been trouble free. The boat surprises quite a few people with its ride and performance. Any other questions post and I will try to answer them for you.

Hey Jim do you have any experience with Bullet Motors out of Kingston? After pricing several new boats I may reconsider repowering to get more speed. Bullet will sell me a 600 hp motor thats a whole lot cheaper then any new boat. Is this two much HP for a stock Bravo 1? Thanks Aaron

Challenger: I think your going to need more than 600hp to do the speed you what. 500hp and more on a V hull. Will kill a bravo sooner than later where you do your boating. Heared good thing about bullet motors. I almost bought a motor from him. Drove up to his place to look around. got something to say about him, but not going to do it here. People will be running his motors at A bay this weekend. jim

There is a demo/used 30' Eagle at performance marine in Oshkosh, WI. It has a hp500efi and shines real nice.

I saw Jeff Becker From Hawkeye Marine in Dubuque, IA run 88 in a new 300 Eagle w twin 502 efi's. He won the class at the Loto Shootout. Thats damn fast for a 502 equipped boat.

Correction, the boat has HP 500 EFI's. It is in Trader Online for 129,000.

I saw that boat on our poker run in july. Very nice setup, but boat has been for sale for almost 2 years at 129900, probably could get it at a good price now!!!!.

I remember hearing somthing about Bullet Motors on the main board. You may want to ask the question there.
