28 or 30 Daytona?
I have owned 2 28 Daytonas 1 with 496's and 1 with 525's. Then I got stupid and bought a 32 spectre. Good looking boat. But not close to an eliminator. I want to buy another Daytona. I have never had a 30. Wondering what the difference in ride and comfort between the 28 and the 30 Hoping to buy in the next 8 weeks thanks

curious what you dont like about the spectre

The 28' Speedster is the "perfect" boat for a place like Lake Havasu and our fastest hull, by far...I would go to a 33' in a heart beat for any bigger water...

Spectre was a nice looking boat. But fit and finish was very cheap. And boat is very tight. No room really to move around. I had twin 625 ill mores ran about 115mph. I love the speedster and the 33. I run on a lake in Wisconsin. So waves aren't an issue. But trying to keep in the ball park of 100k. Maybe a tad more for the right boat. Thanks

Shueman what is teh difference between the speedster deck boat and the fun deck series besides the obvious appearance stuff
|
i have seen the boat. i like it. but for an 03 it seems a bit high. the motors scare me a little. i have never heard any thing good about messing with the 496. great stock mototrs but not sure or i dont know enough about the raylar. also the boat should run over 110 mph and the lower units are just stock. i have always been told or thought when you go over 90 mph or so you really should run speedster type out drives.

The deck's are different, obviously, and the hull's are as well...different CG's in both cases...all new tooling back in '09 (I believe)
I'm assuming the OP doesnt want an open bow but this 28 has one of the nicest interiors I have ever seen http://www.powerboatlistings.com/view/22863 Shueman as an FYI the photo feature when viewing models on the Eliminator sight really needs to be improved to allow for viewing a large photo. They are only available in small format and to nice to hide. |

We're looking to revamp the whole dealio, make it more user friendly to today's technology....just need time & $$$....so buy a GD boat from me, will ya? :D |
