26' ICC vs 27' Daytona Comparison
Could someone tell me the main differences between the 26' and 27' Daytona's? They both show to be 26'10". Is one better than the other? Cockpit size? Height?

The 04 and new 27' are the speed freak of the bunch!!!

Why are they the speed freak? Differnt hull design?
|
The 27' always fast same hp to hp. I think it has to do more with the way the air comes across the deck.

The Speedster is "supposed" to be the fastest, HP to HP & out of the 3 different decks/tops in the 27' molds. This infomation was told to me by Bob L. at Eliminator. The theory is, the rounded windshield of the Speedster changes the CG's and creates more lift. This is exactly what Tres Martin told me when I asked too. He said the most likey "theory" for the claim of the Speedster being faster compared to the ICC or Standard deck is the CG's. He drew it out on the white board. Any way, it was nice to hear the same "theory" from two very reputable preformance boaters.
Just my 2 cents. |

The main difference on the deck of the two ICC models is the distance between the canopies ... 22" on the 26', 14" on the 27'
26' makes a great open-bow walk=thru |
