27 Daytona and SCX

So, has anyone had ANY success running the SCX drive on their 27 Daytona? Everything I read suggests its an automatic 10 to 15 mph loss dues to the heavier weight, heavier gears and effect on the COG. Any input would be much appreciated. John.

Use a standard SCX upper & SC lower .
