I don’t have any real experience, but I’ve been looking into a 29’ Scarab and people say hands down the sbc twins are the superior set up with the only drawback being a little extra money on maintenance.

I got a 23 w a single BBC wish it was bigger u will need big power and big drive my friend has a 27 cat e v in back Arneson w blown 510 goes 105

we have an active thunder 25 with north of 750 hp 540 on an XR its a fun hard charging boat that works here on lake ontario the drive is deep and stays connected very well as conditions change as they always do up here its a great easy to maintain fun boat so don,t underestimate a good running good combo single
