Nope we'll be in Havazoo. I've got a 23' eagle. I dont have enough fiberglass in the water for a ride in the ocean. Good luck with the new ride though.

Re: Joining the Family!

Picked up the boat just in time to take the run. Oxnard to Santa Barabara. Summer conditions, smooth water. It was beautiful.

The boat was AWESOME! I had to keep the 525 between 3-4,000 RPM the whole time butr was running upwards of 55mph. I LOVE MY NEW BOAT!!!

No pictures as I could not keep up to the incredible machinery that joined me on the run. One day!

Nice 28 ... Cool colors and graphics ... I have a 1999 28 XP also ... I have a couple of questions:

Is the swim platform still angled down ? If so be careful when wet.
What gear ratio are you running ?
What is the top end speed ?

Re: Joining the Family!

Yes it is angled down. Never thought about it. I will be careful as will I closely watch my kids. THANKS!!

Don't know what gear ratio. I got the XR drive that comes with the 525EFI, so whatever is OEM, is probably what I have. What is stock? Would I ever want to change it?

I have yet to ask Eliminator about top speed. I was guessing high 70's. Hot boat just tested the Howard at 80mph. I asked in a thread and was told by a guy with some mathmatical equation that I should see 75-77. I don't know why with Eliminators racing experience they would build a slower hull, but who knows. I'm currently running a 26p Bravo prop, not labbed. And I am in break-in and have only seen 55mph at 4,000rpm yet.

What about you? What power? What top speed? What prop? Picture?
