Cool boat there "kaama". If you want speed and race style, go for the hawk. If you want a nice offshore boat with lots of room, the eagle is tough to beat. I wouldnt mind an eagle, Id actually trade my hawk for one. I like the sun pad and swim platform on the eagle

The pictures look great. Looks real clean. The price looks good too.
I've looked at it a number of times on Trader. You said you are 6'1". When you go look at it look at one important thing. Get in the V berth. I don't know how much overnighting you plan on doing but the V berth is only 6'. I'm onlly 5'7" so it's ok for me. Just something to consider. I'm not trying to steer you away from it, they're great boats. Going from my flatdeck Scarab to my Excalibur is like night and day in the cabin. I think when you see it in person you'll love it.
Good luck. Let us know how it turns out.

I just have the honor to drove one of these hawks 40 , nothing handle like these boats, I now have a cigarette 38 and believe me the hawk had better handiling in bad seas. I believe that the hawk 40 its a beautifull combination with yanmar or seatek diesel engines,# 3 or 6 speedmasters and two speed trans.
what do you think?
