Bill Farmer made the 27 Excalibur Speedster. Wellcraft bought the molds in 1985 and also called it a 27 Excalibur Speedster. They only made it for a couple years. Activator Powerboats now has the 27 molds. If your boat is 1984 or older chances are it's a Farmer. 1985 or newer a Wellcraft. Also if your VIN starts with WEL it's a Wellcraft. Looks good, what's the wind screen made of?

84-85 for wellcraft. I think it is 6'6" at the transom. As far as being unsafe, I guess it depends on the driver. Never had any problems.

mine is a wellcraft 27 excalibur speedster kevlar, year 1986.
you can tell by the orig. steering wheel, decals, dash and on the vin number of the hull on the rear right end, if it is a wellcraft will start with: w e l and last 2 numbers would tell you the year |
