Who has what?

It seems a couple previous owners have sold boats. Anyone recently bought one?

Lets see who has what nowadays:

I still have my 40.

There are 2 other 40's a 38 and 2 27's that I know of on Texoma.

I have never seen the 42 with blown 509's in the classifieds.

DO you have picutres of the 38? My uncle sold one back in about 1988-89 and it went down to texas. Was black with triple gold stripes. Call Exotic Rascal

Cool. What all are you doing? More pics!

The plans are a simple paint job.... (maybe orange or metallic red). It has no engines right now and i am thinking atleast 900hp. It had 454's originally. I will also be putting a new interior in it. Other than that the boat is rock solid. I am new to the offshore boats with twins and tranny's. I have restored three boats up to this point but all smaller stuff around 20' , I will really "cut my teeth" on this boat. I have rebuilt a couple small blocks and I have done some glass work as well but i have not tackled something this big. Up to this point i have just been a spectator.:drink:

Hey all sorry it has been a while since I have been on here. Hawk what are the 2 27's on Texhoma this is where I am originally from. I knew of three that were up there 2 85 Well Crafts both from the exibit in Florida in 85. Or so the story goes they were sister boats one with a grey center belt and the other with a burgandy center belt. I know the history of these 2 kinda as the stories go any way. I own the one with the grey belt. There was another up there that was just plain white if I remember correct it was for sale in 99 or 00 but that is the last I have seen of it. Mine has not been in Texhoma since 01. Spent 02-04 on Lewisville and has not been on the water since. Too many projects too little time.

Your boat doesn't look like anything Excalibur ever built.

TxHawk 01-23-2009 06:57 PM

Looks like every 38 Excalibur I ever saw.

Have been a member for a few months here, but have never posted. I have a 1984 Wellcraft Excalibur 27 w/ 330hp 454, Borg Warner trans and TRS drive. I bought this boat at the end of the 2008 season from another member on here and only used it once. Can't wait to get it out this year!.
Erik

Sorry for the poor pic but its the only one I have that I took with my cell phone.

Great boat your going to love it. the best boat in the ruff water hands down. I have an 82 totally restored with a 540 and it's awesome. It run's a solid 80 on the water and take's anything the bay will throw at it even at 80.Run's better than alot of 30's with twin's. that 7 foot beam lets it cut threw the water with ease. good luck with it. Is that pic taken at C&Cmarine

Yeah I noticed that the boat cuts thru the bay like a bigger boat would. While in highschool my friends father owned a marine in Brick and they owned a 84 or a 85 Checkmate 28ft. We did a 502mpi and a bravo swap and the boat moved at about 72mph but I still think my excalibur cuts thru the water better then the checkmate did. Anyway yes that pic was at the end of Sloop Creek rd (public ramp) at C&C marine. I was going to use that ramp for this season but I had problems loading the boat back on the trailer since the public ramp is not all that good. I might use a ramp in Toms River instead.

I like your boat alot, it looks like a newer speed boat since that paint job. I would like to do a 502 based stroker motor for next year but iam having problems finding a 502 block. If you know of anybody selling a 502 block let me know. On more question what headers are you running?
Thanks
Erik
