Default What pitch prop on 27 Speedster

Just out of curiousity what pitch props are everyone running on there's??? I have a 27 excal. with a 454 aluminum heads and single plain dom. carb with 10:5:1 comp and i cant spin a 25 past 4100 rpm's???

my 27 502 mag mpi with 500 hp cam truns a 25 4 blade hydro 5400 may be your drive is a bit low. i have a bravo

Jersey...are you running at TRS or did you do the Bravo conversion?

I want to try a 4-blade 25p in my 27' w/ 502...but haven't had the chance yet.

bravo and thats with a little trim but normal is 5200

Figured it out carb was way lean.... The old TRS is out this winter and in goes the XR.. Hey, Jersey did you pick up any by getting rid of the TRS heavy stuff ?????

Yeah I can only see an improvment with out 4 to 500 extra pounds by going to the bravo set up.. Not to mention the TRS stuff is so hard to get parts for. Do any of you guys know the weight of these boats

Makes me want to get goining on this swap sooner!! Excalibur82 did you change the X at all??? I'm thinking of going up Almost 2" if not more. the back of these boats seem to really drag a$$..
