Default Power

Have a fresh 502 with 440 hp bought the bigger factory cam for it This has a fresh merc trans I dont want to overpower it Am wondering if I should add a velvet drive trans instead Anyone else have one of these with the merc tran that is pushing around 500 hp?Or is it smarter to swap it out? Also what after market exhaust fits the stock openings in the hull Thought I would let someone else do the homework on that one

As far as the exhaust goes...use Stainless Marine. Take a measurement once you have the manifolds installed on the engine. The clamp design they use to fasten the tailpipe to the manifold will allow for some adjustment. They also make spacers to go between the manifold and tailpipe if your measurement was a little off
