Ernie-
Great pics.. did excalibur have a raised deck and flat deck? The pic I posted has a different deck.. |
The one in my pictures is an 87 model.... it is a kevlar hulled boat. As far as decks the flat decked boat of course has less cabin space, but yet has a sleeker performance look.

Yes they did in 83 or 84 I believe that excalibur offerred you the option of the tall or flat deck version. I also did not realize that welllcraft offerred both decks. I thought they only offerred the tall deck version. Ernie are you sure that is a 87?
|
The boat was rigged at lake x in 87..... Now that you bring up that point it might not be an 87..... I know the man who bought it new..... then someone else bought it, then my dad bought it, and my dad and I painted and updated it and it was mine and now my step dad has it.
The hull must be an 82-83... the documentation that I have over this boat covers everything I have old brochures, dyno sheets of all motors that went into it since lake x, and tons of notes that my dad and all the owners have taken. |

here is an old ad
|
Thanks TS 80 I have not seen that ad
|
The first offshore boat I rode in was an early eighties Excal 27. It was a year old and the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I was telling a local marine mechanic about it a couple months ago, and he told me that the one I rode in was originally owned by Michael Allweiss.

Those are good look'n rides... I have a '85 Speedster 27'... looks a lot like TC's as far as hull and deck
|
Wellby Glad you are here. I have a flat deck also. post a picture if you can.

Top spin,
Sweet looking speedster! What kind of power was pushing that #3 drive and what size prop does it run at what rpm if you know. Thanks...... Eddy R. |

Re: 27 excalibur
Wellby-
Very nice ride! ExHawk40- having a hard time turning my 24 outlaw, had it on ebay and only recieved LOW offers, I'm about to put it back on ebay and price it as low as I can. I know this is not the season to sell but the market seems worse now than it has in the past.... |
